Ordering by Mail

Ordering books from me:

I didn’t really want to go into the mail-order business, but there’s been a recent demand for Mad Mazes, the book is out-of-print, and I’m about the only one who has copies (I’ve got 150). So I’ll sell Mad Mazes, and while I’m at it I can sell some other items I had published.

This will be an old-fashioned mail-order business, where you have to fill out a form and send me a check (or cash).

A lot of buyers from overseas will want to send cash instead of a check; so I’ve kept my prices to whole dollar amounts to make it easier to send cash.

Click here for a form you can print out and fill in.

Here’s what I’m selling:

Mad Mazes $8.00 This is the paperback edition published by Adams Publishing in 1992 (the original hard-cover edition was published by Adams in 1990). These mazes all have silly illustrations and goofy stories; so this book may not impress your intellectual friends. But I assure you that most of these puzzles are very difficult—some are way too difficult. (I added $0.05 to the book’s cover price, just to get to a whole dollar amount.)
SuperMazes $14.00 This is a paperback book published by Prima in 1997.
Abbott’s New
Card Games
$2.00 This is the paperback edition published in 1968 by Funk & Wagnalls. The original hard-cover edition was published in 1963 by Stein and Day. Though long out-of-print, this book has maintained a sort of cult status. It contains eight card games by me (including the old version of Eleusis) plus Ultima, a game for the chess board. I have many copies of this, most of which are being used to prop up various things around the house.
The New
Eleusis
$1.00 This is a 20-page booklet privately published by me in 1977. It’s about the version of my inductive game Eleusis that Martin Gardner introduced in his October 1977 Scientific American column. I only have a few copies of this left, and they all unfortunately have some black marks on the last page. Someday I’ll reprint this booklet.

Postage and handling: $2.00 in the U.S., $4.00 in Canada and Mexico, and $7.00 in the rest of the world.

Payment: By check, for U.S. funds only. Or by U.S. cash.

I mention cash because a lot of my orders will be from overseas where it’s hard to get a check for U.S. funds. If you don’t happen to have an account in the U.S., your bank will charge you about $20 for a check in U.S. funds. But it’s easy to get U.S. cash—at most banks or at tourist money exchange services.

After you’ve filled out the form, mail it with a check or cash to:

Robert Abbott
2002 Fairway Drive South
Jupiter, FL 33477

I’ll send U.S. orders by book rate, except I’ll use Priority Mail during November and December. Overseas orders will be sent by Air Mail book rate.

My phone number is: (561)-575-4278.
