So what to say about myself and how Devious Concoctions came about. I guess I'll start with a little background on myself. My name is Brent Ross and upon writing this bio(2001), I am 25 years old, Im a graphic design major and hopefully one day I will be able to apply my prop building knowledge into the film or television industry. I have always had a love for Halloween and props that were nonexistent or unavailable to myself, so the hobby of building props Around 1986 my parents started me out on my obsession by purchasing me a blacklight and a skull, ever since then I have built up my collection year after year. Our early years were basically what you would call a "normal" sized display, but I've never been someone who could stop at a norm. Soon we were tenting in our front porch with black plastic, then year after year it got bigger and bigger until we ran out of space and had to move our haunt to the side yard.

We soon took over our entire side yard, and the haunt became more and more elaborate as the years passed. This past year (2001) we grew out of our allowed space, so the neighbors were kind enough to allow us to take over there front yard and driveway, so now our haunt spans approximately 50' x 20'. Nothing huge, but its definitely beyond your normal yard haunt.

Next year we plan on keeping it about the same size, but adding an entrance tunnel on the right side, that will be furnished as a prison scene, with rattling bars and whatever else seems to pop up. We are also hoping to detail all of the walls to give it a more aesthetic day appeal.
