Peter Plunkett (Peter O'Toole) pretends his Irish castle his haunted to attract visitors and then the real ghosts show up. Then one of the American guests falls for the ghost of Mary Plunkett (Daryl Hannah): she is restored to life but at her real age (and well past her sell-by date) but it all turns out well in the end.
Surprisingly enough it was quite funny.
Christopher Tucker was responsible for the makeup.
