Halloween 1996

A few shots of the exterior taken "the day after"...

We were lucky to have clear weather on Halloween. It had rained the previous two days, and the set, constructed from recycled cardboard and wood, gained hundreds of pounds from absorbing the water.

Our sets are known for their exquisite detail, and these "gargoyles" received great praise. Actually, they were a last-minute solution to fill in the gap when we discovered we cut some pieces too short.

We always seem to run out of time no matter how early in the year we start construction. Our vision always exceeds the time alloted.

Within hours, the set was torn down, thrown onto a flatbed, and trucked off to the dump.

Is this art, or what?
