Conneaut Lake Park
Conneaut Lake (Meadville), PA

Conneaut Lake Park is a wonderful lakeside park located in Northwestern Pennsylvania. The park dates back to the 19th century and has much of the charm of an old time park. Many of the buildings have an antique look and feel to them as does the midway.

The beautiful Hotel Conneaut is located right inside the park grounds.

Conneaut Lake Park is located just West of Meadville at Conneaut Lake.

From Interstate 79, take route 6 West toward Conneaut Lake. Follow route 6 west  past the lake and through the town to route 618. Turn right on to route 618 and the park is about 2 miles on your right. Parking is available on the left and right side of the road.

Conneaut Lake Park is home to the Blue Streak Roller Coaster which has recently been renovated. The ride features antique NAD trains with working headlights and a working "Mars" (revolving) light. The Blue Streak is literally buried in the woods. (see the Photo Gallery)

The park is also home to the oldest Tumble Bug ride which is located right along the Midway. There is also a dark ride called "Dr. Moriority's Wild Ride" featuring his infamous Wall of Gum!

For more information on Conneaut Lake Parks history, I suggest looking for the book Conneaut Lake Park - the First 100 Years of fun by Lee O. Bush and Richard Hershey It is  published by Amusement Park Books, 20925 Mastick Road, Fairview Park, Ohio 44126 -  ISBN 0-935408-04-5
