Adwrld06.jpg (22012 bytes)Roar is the new wooden rollercoaster built for 1998. Manufactured by GCI, Roar crosses itself 22 times.
Adwrld01.jpg (40583 bytes)Adventure World's first major coaster, the Wild One was moved from Paragon Park in Massachusetts. The view here shows the first drop.

After Knoebel's Amusement Resort (Elysburg, PA) sucessfully moved the San Antonio Rocket coaster to Pennsylvania, Adventure World (then Wild World) realized they could get a proven ride for less cost than what an unproven new one would cost. In 1987 it was up and running.

Adwrld04.jpg (24748 bytes)The helix at the end of the Wild One was restored when the ride was moved to Maryland. It had been removed from the ride due to a fire in Massachusetts.
Adwrld09.jpg (30094 bytes)The Wild One train enters the helix. The train uses 6 seat PTC cars.
Adwrld07.jpg (29089 bytes)The Mind Eraser is the parks steel inverted coaster. It packs a lot of ride into a fairly tight space.

Adwrld03.jpg (30988 bytes)The Python once operated as half of the Lightnin' Loops ride at Six Flags Great Adventure™. It is an Arrow Shuttle Loop. First you ride forward and then do the ride backward.
Adwrld02.jpg (24951 bytes)The Tower of Doom is a free fall ride that was installed a couple years ago.
