Check out our Fifteen
Steps to Opening a Lasertag Center!
The Theme and Design of a facility
is what elevates laser tag to more than just a game. Intersphere utilizes its
vast resources of experienced Project Directors, Artists, and Carpenters to create
a dazzling environment for your lasertag customers to submerge themselves in.
This created fantasy world is what keeps the customer wanting to come back over
and over again, just to experience the elation of escaping the normal day.
The Project Director first travels
to the city in which a possible site may be located. When the city and site are
deemed to be a good fit for a profitable center with reasonable construction costs,
the Project Director listens closely to an investor's individual vision. With
this information, the Project Director then develops the plan for the site that
will combine the maximum "awe factor" with the minimum possible cost
or problems. (Click here to see an outline of what a Project
Director does)
The Artists and Carpenters then go to work to create fascinating effects that
will be placed in the facility. The effects are all modular and built to be easily
installed by a person with minimal construction experience. This keeps construction
costs down, allowing for greater focus on development of new and unique effects.
Although
the lobby of a site gets much attention, it is an arena with a good theme and
design that affects the customers the most. A creative, flexible, exhilarating
arena is a critical element for a lasergame site to achieve long term success.
For this reason, Intersphere has made a concentrated effort to approach arena
design with fresh and innovative concepts, unsurpassed by anyone in the industry.
When it comes to arena design services, Intersphere understands that every investor
possesses a different vision. Some may want a turn-key design, while others may
desire an arena with a specific theme. We have recruited professional designers
with extensive experience creating haunted houses, live shows in Las Vegas, even
Hollywood movie sets. We are fully equipped to meet whatever unique requirements
you may have. The design and layout of every arena must include the development
and placement of passages, obstacles, targets, bases, special effects, theatrical
fog, sound systems, and lighting. All of these key ingredients work together to
create exciting game play, and make the players feel as if they had entered into
a high-tech alien environment.
At
Intersphere, we believe that arena flexibility is absolutely necessary for a well-executed
arena. All of our arenas utilize a Mobile Wall System, a concept totally unique to
Intersphere. This Mobile Wall System was created so that you have the ability to
re-create your arena. The flow of traffic can be changed to keep your players from
becoming accustomed to it. Thus, keeping it fresh and exciting to insure repeat play.
Whether you want to change the entire layout or just change a few passageways, the
arena can be re-positioned easily and effectively by a small crew of three or four
people in a matter of hours.
The wall panels are designed to carry out the same "space-age" theme
as the rest of the facility. They are constructed of extremely durable plastic
and steel frames to insure years of changeable game play. These wall panels are
also advantageous for investors because they are not normally considered leasehold
improvements like many plywood walls. They can be depreciated as equipment over
a five (5) year term, instead of leaseholds normal 39.5 years. This can result
in a huge tax savings. Additionally, they can be moved to a new facility easily,
if an investor wants to relocate the site.
