Intersphere "LaZerwareTM" is unquestionably the most engaging and unique design in the industry. This equipment looks real, not at all like a toy. All game sets include:
The visible electronic boards, data communications
cables, and tri-colored light emitting diodes give the packs a cybernetic, high
tech, futuristic appearance. The system is highly ergonomic. Put the pack on and
it feels substantial, even powerful, yet it is still comfortable to wear. The
vest and laser rifle together weigh only 8.8 pounds. Pick up the laser rifle and
you immediately notice it's weighted, so two hands are necessary for accurate
firing, but not physically required for firing.
The packs contain eleven infrared sensors and twelve LED's located on the front,
shoulders, and back. Housed in the rifle are two LED's, an infrared sensor, and
a liquid crystal display (LCD). The LCD displays the pack number, points, credits
(hits), ammo, energy, lives, and current ranking. The rifle utilizes high quality
optics and a solid state laser for unequaled precision and realism.
When a player squeezes the trigger, a visible laser beam and an invisible infrared
beam fire simultaneously from the rifle, and a digital laser sound effect emits
from an amplified speaker in the pack.
Confusion as to whether a player has been hit is a problem with many existing
systems, but Intersphere has rectified this issue. When a laser beam strikes a
player's sensor, the LaZerwareTM "deactivates" through the following
process; a digital explosive sound effect emits from the pack, the LEDs turn off,
the two large dome LEDs on the shoulders flash, the LCD indicates which player
(or other entity) hit him, and the player is unable to shoot or be hit for a pre-designated
time period (typically five seconds). After the set period, the pack re-energizes
and will function normally.
Additionally,
the player who fired the shot will hear a high-pitched ping sound from his own
pack, indicating a hit. They can then check their LCD to see which player they
have struck. All scoring information is communicated in "real time"
through a radio modem to a central game computer. Players are always aware of
their current status in the game. This assures scoring accuracy, gives greater
arena mobility, and creates limitless options in game scripting.
The LaZerwareTM is fashioned for earnest abuse. It is forged
from rugged, high quality plastics, and can sustain extremely high impact without
sustaining damage. The LaZerwareTM is in fact so durable, only twenty-two packs
are needed to run twenty player games. It is common practice for other systems
to use up to forty packs. Breakdowns are so frequent they must have several backup
packs on sight to maintain full capacity. Moreover, the malfunction is typically
discovered by a player during a game, which begets an unsatisfied customer.
The reliability of LaZerwareTM eliminates this problem. No other system can
boast such a maintenance free operation. Difficulties with the equipment are rare,
but all electronics have a limited life span. Fortunately, because of our modular
design, repairs can be executed quickly and efficiently by almost anyone. Should
a fault occur, simply remove the defective module and replace with a new one.
LaZerwareTM
has been designed and manufactured in close cooperation with experienced lasergame
enthusiasts and operators.
Real Time Radio Communication
Real time communication between the players, LaZerdronesTM, and the central computer allow unrivaled potential
for game development. The central computer continuously monitors each player's
progress using a radio transceiver that communicates with each LaZerwareTM
pack.
Unlike many systems, LaZerwareTM receives, records, and transmits data while
the game is in progress. Players are always aware of their current ranking in
the game and as a result, play stays intense up to the last second. In addition,
radio-polling creates much greater arena mobility and complete freedom with game
scripting. The application of this technology allows a wide range of exciting
concepts to be transformed into reality.
Real time radio communication also means quicker game turn-around. Players no
longer need to download their gun scores, one player at a time. This means more
games played per hour. This becomes critical to maximizing your profits during
peak traffic times.
