This is not intended to be a comprehensive listing: but pointers to where to go to find information (eg if you're looking for the makeup artist sites then you'll find them through the makeup artists' webring or from Lars's links page).
My makeup artist index contains links to the sites or IMDb entries for makeup artists whose work is featured in themakeupgallery.
Make-up Artist Magazine is the magazine to read and a very good website for its news and messageboard.
The Makeup Artists' Webring is the best place to look for makeup websites. If a makeup artist has a website it's probably a member — but there are a few famous names who have not joined.
Lars Carlsson, a Swedish makeup artist, has a brilliant site. It has a nice layout with a big gallery, project diaries and the best listing of makeup artist websites I have seen. He was travelling for a while but he's back now and updating the site.
Masks in the Media has no images but is a frequently updated and comprehensive reference document listing the use of the Mask Trick (female masks only) in comics and cartoons as well as on TV and in the movies.
The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) is the best, most comprensive and idispensible link for movie information (titles, dates, cast lists, plot info, filmographies etc). My single most indispensible and most frequently visited site bar none.
Coming Attractions has a massive amount of information on forthcoming movies (and those stuck in development hell). If you've heard a rumour about a particular movie being made go here to find out its status.
Dark Horizons is the best site for current news about movies in production with links to stories, stills, trailers elsewhere on the Web.
Yahoo Actors & Actresses listing is the most complete listing of both official homepages and unofficial fan pages for actors and actresses.
ReelClassics.com, Elizabeth's classic movehomepage, is a brilliant resource for information on the golden years of Hollywood. Don't be mislead by the title: a homepage this is not. It's 1600 pages make this site feel positively minuscule. It probably is, at it claims to be, the Internet's most comprehensive site dedicated exclusively to Classic Movies.
Zap2it TV Show list is the best starting point I've found for TV show information (official homepages, fan pages, episode guides etc).
Soapsite: well the title says it all
The Hair-Related Movies Site is a useful reference information on which movies feature hair-cutting, head-shaving, baldcaps, before & after. No images and not updated for sometime.
eine haarige Seite is Joerg's excellent site in German with a lot of information and a useful TV Tips message board about movies/TV programmes showing on European TV stations (many of which can be received in the UK by satellite).
The Japanese Maingallery features stills from asian TV shows and movies that are often unobtainable in Europe but is in Japanese only.
