Heavy duty soap-opera... A young Josephine Norris falls in love with a WWI pilot and becomes pregnant only to learn her lover has been killed in action. Her child is brought not knowing she is his mother while she dotes on him from a distance: he becomes a WWII pilot while she is an American business-woman in London.
Thirty year-old Olivia de Havilland played Josephine Norris from seventeen to nearly fifty years old in a role which won her an Oscar. Wally Westmore did the makeup.
