In this mini-series a young schoolgirl marries an ageing ex-confederate soldier and survives to become the oldest living confederate widow. Diane Lane played Lucy Marsden from 14 to 61 and Anne Bancroft played her at her hundredth birthday. Cicely Tyson (playing Captain Marsden's servant Castalia) and was also subjected to prosthetic ageing process: yet again.
Steve Johnson's XFX was responsible for the prosthetic makeup.
